A true cabin in the woods full of modern amenities. Whispering Pines is a one bedroom, one bathroom pet friendly home perfect for couples or small families. Located inside Yosemite Park in the historic town of Wawona this cabin is walking distance to the Merced River and the local Pine Tree Market. Pets welcome for an additional fee of $50/per day.
Make Whispering Pines your home base for your Yosemite vacation! This little cabin is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. As you enter the home you are greeted by warm custom wood work, all locally sourced and milled from Ponderosa Pines that were devastated by the bark beetle. Marvel at the blue tint and borrowing holes left behind by the beetle. The living room has a leather sofa set with queen size sofa bed (recommended for kids only), 43" smart UHD TV with dish network and DSL WiFi. The bedroom hosts a medium firm queen size hybrid mattress and custom made Ponderosa Pine headboard. The bathroom is equipped with a walk in shower and hand held shower head. The kitchen has all appliances including dishwasher, microwave, toaster and blender. All cookware and utensils provided. The spacious rear deck has a propane Weber Grill and we provide the propane. Located in central Wawona you can enjoy walks through the community, take a dip in the Merced River on warm summer days or stargaze at the Yosemite night sky. Wawona is home to the Pioneer history museum, the trail head for the Chilnualna Falls trail, close to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and one of the few locations in the park with local market and gas.

My family has been coming to the Redwoods at Wawona for over 30 years. I chose your cabin because of the pictures and the good reviews. The cabin was great. It has been completely updated. The kitchen was great. Bathroom too. The bed was comfortable. I will book this for my next visit.

Our cabin was perfect for our week in Yosemite. Everything was well appointed; we had everything in the kitchen we needed. We loved having access to a grill for dinner, and our location right across from the Pine Tree Market was so convenient.

My husband and I enjoyed a one-week stay at Whispering Pines. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The kitchen, fully stocked. The mattress was firm which we appreciated after a day of hiking. The only downside was the lack of laundry facilities. We usually do laundry mid-week to minimize checked bags on our flights.
WiFi was excellent. We were able to stream YouTube TV and do WiFi calling on our cell phones (Verizon had signal, T-Mobile did not).
Because the cabin is located inside Yosemite National Park, we avoided a daily wait in traffic for park entrance. Note that the drive into Yosemite Valley can take up to an hour each way. We alternated day trips to Glacier Point, Washburn Point, and Sentinel Dome with days exploring around Wawona. The Wawona Meadow Loop was a nice warm up hike for us. The Chilnualna Falls trail head is only 0.5 miles from the cabin and the Mariposa Sequoia Grove is about 5 miles away. We found the Wawona History Center interesting, too.
The Pine Tree Market is just a 2-minute walk from the cabin. It has most anything you’ll need or forgot to buy at the larger grocery stores on your way in. On Wednesday and Sunday mornings, check out “Coffee with a Ranger”. It’s a Q&A with lots of great tips on visiting Yosemite.
Overall, a very nice cabin in a great location!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Whispering Pines lodging. Having our own access to checking in was an amazing option and allowed for us to not have to rush to get into the cabin. The cabin was clean and tidy for our use, with many optional amenities available. the cabin provided us with the creature comfort of a home away from home.
Would definitely recommend friends and family to stay here and for us to stay there again!

It was an amazing time for my wife and I to celebrate 40 years of marriage together. The cabin was perfect! Charming but not austere. It was tastefully decorated, modernly equipped, and clean and neat. The owners and property managers thought of almost anything you would need. The staff was ready and available and very professional. We will definitely come back!

What a lovely cabin! It was clean, a great kitchen with nice utensils . (would have liked a colander for draining pasta and a kettle for tea- an item common in English and South African households but have not seen travelling in the USA). Good communication with the host Steve as a TV repair man had to come in . Was a wonderful stay in such a beautiful national park and if we ever come back to this part of the world, will definately stay there again! Will highly recommend to my friends.

Not much to tell. We were invited to share some time in Yosemite Valley with friends and this was open. It was all good: Within park boundaries (which matters in Yosemite these days), clean, generously laid out, very well appointed (my gf says the best of any comparable shes seen), a ~35m drive to the Valley, which was both close enough and away enough. Only drawback I noticed: The smoke detector is so close to the toaster that my English muffin tripped it. :-) We plan/hope to return!

We really enjoyed it! The cabin had everything we needed and was very nice to come back to after spending the day at the park.
We did try to go to the river but what we thought was the closed road on the directions said private property so Im not sure if we were in the wrong place or what.

Great lodging, VERY clean and nice. Loved having the back deck and grill and walk to the falls was close and nice to to after a long day at the parks. The pine market also has absolutely anything one could need. Bed was very comfortable which is a rare find. Would definitely stay here again.

Spotless and well appointed cabin. Really good amenities including Wi-Fi and USB charging points which was very much appreciated. Location was further than I had expected from Yosemite Valley. Otherwise very satisfied with the stay.

We loved how well stocked and clean our cabin was. We loved how convenient it was to walk to Pine Tree market and the great selection of products that the market offered. We loved the quaint and quiet community of Wawona, the proximity of the Yosemite trails, and especially the close river access.

Very nice, clean and comfortable. Easy to travel to the park from the cabin. We used the well equipped kitchen and barbecue a lot to cook dinner. We enjoyed both balconies depending the time of the day.
