Welcome to Avid Hiker Lodge, inside Yosemite Park, in Wawona!
With 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and 1 large sleeping loft. Amenities include Wifi, Hulu Live streaming service, mini-split air conditioning/heating system, pellet stove, propane BBQ, and a spacious deck for enjoying cool mountain evenings. It is furnished with a queen bed in each bedroom, another queen bed, and a twin daybed with a twin trundle in the sleeping loft.
Avid Hiker Lodge is located just inside Yosemite National Park, in the historic town of Wawona. Only a few miles from the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, and a short walk to the South Fork of the Merced River, the historic Wawona Hotel, and multiple hiking trails. There is easy access to this cozy 2 story cabin. As you enter you are greeted by vaulted wood ceilings. The open-concept kitchen is perfect for spending time with the family while you cook meals in the fully equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms downstairs, each with a queen bed and one and a half bathrooms. The loft area hosts more sleeping space with a queen bed and a daybed with a trundle. Relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air on the expansive deck or cuddle up by the fire in the pellet stove and watch a movie on HULU. This home has AC to keep you cool on those warm summer nights. Our stay at the Avid Hiker Lodge was amazing. The cabin was very clean and tidy. We love the open floor plan and everything from kitchen necessity and bathrooms were very well stocked.

We are frequent visitors to Yosemite and have been coming to Scenic Wonders houses since 2009. Every time they are a winner: clean, well set up, communication is easy, locations are great. This is our first time to stay in Wawona: being much closer to the park entrance is great, though I had forgotten what a distance it is to the valley floor, especially with the speed limits. But its so beautiful, it gave us time to admire those magnificent views! Avid Hiker Lodge was great - we ended up only using one bedroom and the sleeping loft, but everything was so comfortable.

Unfortunately we timed our stay with the Washburn fire and we’re evacuated from our rental after the first night of our stay. The scenic wonders team worked some magic and found us houses for the last two nights of our trip. They were very helpful and thorough with their communication despite lack of service at times. Would rent from them again without hesitation.

It was really lovely. Clear directions communicated. Usually cabins like these smell musty. But this was a beautiful space that didnt feel too bougie but also not just an average stay.

It is the perfect place to enjoy Yosemite National Park. We spent great relaxing afternoons sitting in the porch where we share all our experiences lived in YNP.
