Share Your Favorite Yosemite Memories!
As we wrote earlier, it’s a mighty special year here at Scenic Wonders: 2015 marks the 125th anniversary of the founding of Yosemite National Park!
We’ll be commemorating the occasion here on the Scenic Wonders blog throughout the year. And, of course, we welcome you to come join in the celebration by staying at one of our vacation cabins and cottages: There’s no better place for reflecting on what makes Yosemite so magical.
There’s a whole lot to reflect upon given this mighty anniversary, but we thought we’d kick things off with an invitation to share your favorite Yosemite memory!
How about that unforgettable view of the Milky Way over the starlit ramparts of the Sierra? Or that glimpse of a black bear at Tuolumne Meadows? Maybe it’s the float trip down the Merced River or your bucket-list ascent of Half Dome. Perhaps a Yosemite vacation helped mark an especially meaningful time in your life; perhaps you can’t think of the park without thinking of a special person.
Yosemite means something different for each and every person who visits, and it’s a park big and diverse enough to show a new side of itself on every new trip. As we celebrate the birth of Yosemite as a national park—that momentous event that preserved its monumental scenery and elemental forces for the generations—we can’t wait to hear how it has touched your lives.
You can share your cherished Yosemite memories over at this Facebook post. Contribute a story or reflection, and enjoy the reminiscences of other Yosemite fans in the Scenic Wonders community!
And don’t forget to book yourself a stay at one of our vacation rentals so you can mint some new Yosemite memories during the park’s 125th-anniversary year!
