Listen To The Snow

Listen to the snow fall gently upon the land.  We remember the days that are past and find peace in our heart.  This wonderland is filled with winter radiance.

The Merced River flows gently and Half Dome, built from rock, is unmovable.  Although the elements of Nature beat down upon Half Dome, it remains unshakable.  The river lifts up her voice giving peace to our heart.  This water comes mostly from mountain snow melt.  Peace comes mostly from the beauty of the winter light.

We drink from the fullness of this river, which now includes the refection of snow-capped Half Dome.  We store up this water in our heart and soul:  If the clouds are full, they will pour rain upon the earth. Our words are like the river;  they are words of peace.  Soon our hearts are filled with the fullness of peace.

Half Dome towers high above the Merced River in this peaceful scene.  We are peaceful visitors to Yosemite on this peaceful day.  The river is so quiet and peaceful in the early morning. We are rich in peace of heart and peace of mind.
