Indulge in the brilliant colors of autumn in Yosemite Valley, where you can take advantage of smaller crowds, incredible foliage and amazing spectacles of light and shadow.

Photographers of all levels will enjoy this informative and fun workshop with two professional photographers. Learn their insider discoveries from years of photographing the park, as you explore different subjects in the Valley area, including the park’s most famous natural icons, and develop your own unique style. All camera types (digital or film) are welcome!

Three full days of guided outdoor photography in Yosemite Valley and surrounding areas Friday, October 18, through Sunday, October 20. Start at 7:30 am each day, shooting throughout the day and one night session, plus an introductory evening meeting (5 pm on Thursday, October 17, at Yosemite Valley Lodge).

• Experience Level: Any. Participants must be physically fit.
• Hiking: Easy.
• Elevation Range: 4,000 feet–7,000 feet (driving).

Dave Wyman is an accomplished photographer and author of three pictorial guidebooks (“Backroads of Northern California”, “Backroads of Southern California”, and “Yosemite in Photographs”). His photographs and articles have appeared in Outdoor Photographer, Outside, Backpacker, Sky and Telescope, and many other publications. He enjoys sharing his passion for photography and the outdoors.

Ken Rockwell is a talented photographer and host of a popular website for essays, photo galleries, lessons and equipment reviews. Having fully the embraced digital age, Ken is equally adept with traditional 35mm, panoramic, medium and large format photography. An engineer by training, Ken has an artistic eye and is excited to share his knowledge and opinions about photography.
