This one-bedroom mountain home lies at the heart of Yosemite National Park in the Yosemite West Community. Chinquapin Retreat is a responsible alternative for the environmental-conscious visitor. Located inside the park, and 20 minutes from Yosemite Valley this house provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the comforts of home, in the heart of Yosemite National Park.
With this modern fully stocked kitchen you'll find everything needed to prepare your own meals. The covered deck provides a perfect venue for sunrise coffee, a relaxing sunset, or an evening under the stars. This house has a strong 3G phone signal, which you will find is a rare amenity in this area, however, please keep in mind Verizon is the only carrier that may work in Yosemite West. This unit has satellite wifi (not fast enough for streaming and video calling).
This house can sleep up to 2 people; there is a queen-sized bed in the bedroom and a full-size bathroom.
None of our rentals allow pets, no pets allowed.

Thank you for the snow removal service. One of the nights, it snowed 12 inches and we were concerned we’d be snowed in. Problem solved when the back-hoe snow blower drove up!
Other note, the driveway is ridiculously steep. If anyone else was using it during the winter storm timeframe there would have been an accident.

Excellent accommodations for 2 at a great location. We enjoyed the amount of space for the kitchen and living area and the high view out the picture window. Perfect location for us to go to the Mariposa Grove, Glacier Point, and the valley.

This cozy house was fantastic and perfect for our stay! The kitchen was well stocked and had almost everything we needed. We improvised and made what they provided work! Having the AC in the window of the living room was a nice surprise! AT&T phone service did not work at all - but the wifi was enough to keep in touch with family at home. We will definitely stay here again!

The unit is very clean and location is convenient. The WiFi was good (with text and sending photos, which is enough for us, not good enough for video streaming). There was no shampoo and conditioner in bathroom which is a surprise for me.

Chinquapin Retreat was awesome. Couldnt ask for a better place to stay. The place was super clean and had everything needed for my 3 day stay.
The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful! I rate this place a 10 plus and would defiantly stay here again if in the area. Nice 20 minute drive to Yosemite Valley. Thank you Chinquapin Retreat for making my stay comfortable!

Wonderful sunset view. Nice to be able to stay in the park. Plenty of room for the two of us.

The condo was great, perfect location. Kitchen well stocked, we cooked most of our meals. We had issue with bathroom door and you were quick to fix it. My only wish was you had Kleenex for the unit and a bit more info on TV. Otherwise great place!

When we arrived at our cabin, the steep driveway was snow covered and very slippery. After I called the office, Sam arrived within minutes, and he was great. He quickly plowed out our driveway, then installed the chains on our rental SUV. He was professional, personable and provided us with some very useful information. The only disappointing aspect to our stay was that we couldn't stay longer, but we will be back!

I really enjoyed the loft! It was very cozy and clean and had everything I needed for a quiet get away to explore the Glacier Point area of Yosemite. My only complaint is that the heater was very noisy. Unless I turned it off at night it woke me up at early morning because the place got cold. It sounded like a constant banging and it was loud. As winter approaches guest may want the heater on through the night but this will become an annoyance.

Very nice apartment and an excellent location.
The biggest problem in the apartment was there were no blinds and curtains on the windows ... This was strange and offered no privacy.
We would recommend that either blinds or curtains are installed on atleast the living room windows

All worked fine. The place was clean and in good repair. The code number on the door lock was an alternate phone number last 4 digits from what I was told would be used, but we figured it out (eventually). It would be nice to add curtains/blinds/shutters to block out early morning sunlight in the main room. Our daughter was awoken early by sunlight streaming in. Overall, we enjoyed a pleasant stay.

The accommodations were more than adequate and very comfortable given we were in the middle of Yosemite. The support staff responded to all our requests and needs quickly. We expected the WiFi and TV service to be better. A luggage rack, arm chair in living room would also be helpful. The location was ideal!!
