This chalet inside the gates of Yosemite National Park was just built in 2016. Enjoy mountain views, native flowering dogwoods and amazing sunsets at this chalet just 20 minutes from Yosemite Valley. Every detail in this custom-built home blends the warmth of the craftsman style with the simplicity of modern design. Energy efficient features and custom furniture sourced from locally salvaged wood makes your stay a green choice too. ONLY 1 CAR allowed and must 4wd/Awd with tire chains required for the driveway in Winter and early spring.
This chalet accommodates 2-8 guests with a master suite (king bed), second bedroom (2 queen beds), 2 full baths, a well-equipped kitchen, living room with sofa bed, generous dining room table and outdoor deck with gas BBQ. Efficient heating and air conditioning customizable for each room, cozy gas fireplace and heated bathroom tile floors provides comfort in any season. Satellite WIFI internet (not fast enough for streaming and video calling) and cable TV is available.
This chalet is one of three similar homes nestled on the mountainside overlooking the Merced River Canyon in Yosemite West. Each home provides secluded privacy perfect for a family. Reserve all three for a larger reunion of friends and family. All Alpenglow Retreat Chalets book up quickly and groups are encouraged to reserve well in advance. There are 2 parking spots during summer, and 1 parking spot during fall, winter and spring. 4wd/Awd with tire chains required for the driveway in Winter early spring.

The house was fantastic - just as advertised and well-stocked. Furniture, including beds, was very comfortable and we loved having a full kitchen. And the floor warmers in the bathrooms were amazing! Great location for exploring Yosemite!

The cabin was amazing. Loved everything about my stay. Only improvement would be the Wi-Fi was terrible. It’s not something that ruined my stay but when in the mountains having Wi-Fi to watch streaming services would have been nice.

+ The unit was great, well equipped and convenient location to everything.
- The bbq grill didnt work at first. We need to call for assistance, who came very fast and was willing and helpful. Lastly, the unit wasnt as clean as wed hope especially the floor.

We had a wonderful stay in Alpenglow 2. The amenities were great! Updated appliances, heated bathroom floors were great. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need. Beds were comfortable. Gas fireplace made it cozy! AND of course the snow and scenery were spectacular!

What a beautiful vacation home rental! From the moment we walked in Alpenglow2 we were amazed at how beautiful this home was put together from furniture, kitchen, bdrms,bthrms, game center, bbq grill balcony sitting with a breathtaking view of sunrise and sunsets! Privacy was perfect, the windows in the home added perfect views of the trees, no complaints at all. We were pleased and happy with this rental, even our kids said they loved and want to live there so thats a big plus when kids say that, there ages are 8, 10, 13, and 17 and all felt the same. We will diffentley return to your home, Thank you so much!! We had an awesome vacation at Yosemite!

It was our first time staying at a property with Scenic Wonders. I appreciated the availability and patience of the employees who answered my more detailed questions beyond what the website described, thus booking was easy. The cabin was beautiful with lots of natural light, it was spacious, nicely furnished and equipped with kitchenware for cooking. The beds were very comfortable. We loved it.

It was the end of a week spent in hotels with 2 little ones and their parents. A lovely break from restaurants and separate rooms. The 6 of us had a great time in Yosemite. Your location was perfect for splitting a day between Mariposa Grove and a hike to Vernal Falls.
All in all an excellent choice.
